Ironing is a time-consuming and tedious chore that very few people actually enjoy.
But what if there was a way that could speed up the process or even allow you to skip it altogether?
A mum has shared a simple washing trick she saw Stacey Solomon use to cut down on the amount of ironing she has.
Emma Louise Cooper posted the hack in the Stacey Solomon Inspired Organising/Clean Home Tips And Tricks group on Facebook, where she said: “I saw Stacey do this once on her story and decided to give it a go, game-changer.”
Rather than pegging her clothes on her washing line or putting them over the airer, Emma put them all on hangers whilst they were still wet and hung them on the line.
This meant that not only were her clothes wrinkle-free when they were dry, but she also didn’t have to think about folding all of the clothes away either.
Explaining why she loves it so much, Emma wrote in the comments: “For me and my family it is, less ironing, more on top of washing as more space on the line, kids easily put their clothes away, one is autistic and can’t manage to coordinate hanging clothes on hangers and it’s now the weekend and I haven’t got a big pile of clothes to put away!
“5 in our household and working 45-50 hour weeks so for me it is exactly that, a game-changer.”
The hack went down a treat with fellow cleaning fanatics who praised her for sharing it.
One person said: “I am defo going to try this…. less ironing too fingers crossed.”
Another said: “Can also get much more on the line!”
“If you dry them outside you should keep them turned inside out as the sun will fade them. And be careful with stretchy clothes and sweaters, as they will get misshaped if not done right…” warned a third.
Someone else put: “Omg! Life-changing.”
